In 2023 I made the New Years resolution to start playing the violin, or fiddle. It turns out it is not as easy as other string instruments. This self portrait painting is a visual depiction of how it feels to learn the fiddle, while finding out you are not making any progress whatsoever. Not having the slightest idea where to even hold the bow. Slitting my own wrist in the process, being done with it.
